Trini people in my eyes - part 2

Updated: Jun 2, 2018

Referring to my last post (here) I will start my post from Youths today.

Trini Youths seems very lost and confused... They know not what they do, because they do not have role models and mentors in their lives.

Young and beautiful girls fall into the hands of gangsters, because they believe that he has money and he will give them royal life. It sounds naive, but such mentality is represented by teenagers. Young handsome boys wield guns and drugs because only in such a way they can survive or impress others. Their parents don't stop them because they are either links to crimes or do not know how to deal with such a situation. And would not it be better to create a safe environment and open up new opportunities for this young people?! You know, that most of them have the talent, personal charm and this augurs success. So why nobody is trying? Although we are hundreds of miles away, I am ready to help them, all I need is a bit of goodwill and government support to minimally start reducing the crime scale in such a charming country and change the attitude of these lost people.

I should also mention about the older generation and the disable people in Trinidad. As for the elders, I like the Trinidadian's approach because they show understanding and respect. They never said bad things about their mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers - because of that - they deserve to be called "The Best" because they show a much more style than Americans or English.

While discussing the subject of the disabled, I have to say that this part of society has a hard life in Trinidad. First of all, they are isolated from the whole world; secondly, closed in four walls for whole days; and finally, deprived of any kind of external support. Trini people rarely show sympathy and tolerance for the disabled, sometimes even the closest family leaves them to fend for themselves. I think that this is another issue that should be modified in this country, starting with the acquisition of knowledge and the development of tolerance, ending with social and sport activities for the disabled. This can open the door to - as far as possible - normal life and even give them the opportunity to represent their country in various Paralympics. Would not it be great to see how Trinidad people rise on the tide of their own ambition and determination?!
